First Post! 12/22/2007

I did a workshop just a few weeks ago about weebly.com.  Realizing that I could use a web site that could tell "the world" that I definitely needed help - specifically - enough in contributions to get me out of debt and get a new mini van to use as a taxi.  I think I provide a very enjoyable and high level of customer service and would like to continue doing so.  I like people and I like sharing the beauty of Maui with visitors.
Thanks for your help.
Love,
Steven

I'm not sure how to update my blog, so I will just comment.

Since myt taxi has been wrecked, I have rented another mini van to provide my clients with the service to which they have become accustomed.
Good for them. Not so good for me, because a lot, like 75% - 90% of my cash flow does just that - it flows in, it flows out - to pay the increased expenses caused by not having my regular vehicle. I'm sure that all business people can relate to this.

You have to spend money to make money. You see this in the business section of al newspapers - businesses making a profit one quarter and posting losses the next. I find myself operating (in a small way) in that world. Hoo! Hah!.

Here it is December 25, 2007, and I find myself sitting here at my computer keying this in to whomever reads it.

So, to YOU, Dear Reader: Happy Holidays; Merry Christmas, etc., and, of course,
MAY YOU HAVE A PROSPEROUS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Aloha peeps. I just spent about an hour adding PayPal buttons to the "Giving is Receiving" page for all of you who would like to donate money to my campaign to get out of debt (and maybe get a car that doen't have over 225K miles on it.)

Thank you for you generosity and love.

Aloha Folks,
It's 5:20 AM here in Waikapu. One of the really quiet times of the day, before the construction vehicles start up for the day.
Doesn't matter today, as I won't be here most of this Saturday. I'll be leaving for Hana, at the east end of Maui in just a few minutes. I will be picking up two people at the Hotel Hana Maui and bringing them back to OGG (Kahului Airport). On the way, weather-permitting, we will do a two to three hour custom, private tour, in my "compact" rent a car that I have to use until I get my taxi back from the body repair shop.
Pau for now,
A hui hou,
sjb

Aloha readers:
In reference to Page 1 (Home) of this website; I am no longer out of money, though I remain in debt.
I have rented a car, which I use to transport the pre-arranged runs that I had already set up BEFORE the car crash. Renting a Chevy HHR, a sort of micro-mini van, allows me to transport up to three people and their luggage. I remain in business. Unfortunately, this is the holiday season here on Maui and the rental car companies have doubled and tripled their rental fees. This means that, although I am bringing in the fares, I am also spending almost 90% of everything I make in order to stay on the road and serve my clients. Hoo Hah!
Nonetheless, I feel that service remains important. I strive to serve my current clients so that they will recommend other people to my taxi business and help me grow my business.
Pau for now,
sjb

    Aloha from Maui.

I have been living in Hawaii for 27 years.  I came over to Oahu in 1980 and began working as a science teacher in Ewa Beach.  Life in Hawaii has been (as the ancient Chinese curse goes) very interesting.  I came over here to fly my hangglider and ended up serving as the President/Chairman of the Board of the Hawaiian Hang Gliding Assn. for one year.
I move to Maui in 1992.  I began working as a tour guide and driving taxi in 1999.  Now, almost 9 years later, I am asking for your help.  I feel ok about this, because, after all, I do live on Maui, and I can give you something material in exchange your investment in my "get out of debt" project.
Mahalo nui loa (Hawaiian for "Thank You Very Much.)
